Instructions to make to make Bread Upma

  1. Cut bread slices into pieces.
  2. Chop all veggies and keep aside.
  3. Make paste of tomato and keep aside.
  4. In moderately heated pan add oil, add mustard seeds + curry leaves and allow to sizzle, add ginger and sauté for few seconds. Then add onion and sauté till pinkish. Then add chopped veggies and stir fry.
  5. Add turmeric + little salt at this stage and stir fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Now add tomato paste + water + sugar and cook for 3-4 minutes till rawness of tomatoes goes.
  7. Gradually mixture thickens as water evaporates, add tomato sauce at this stage and mix well.
  8. Cook for 2-3 minutes, add bread pieces and gently mix. Lower flame and let bread pieces coat with tomato mixture, mix for 3-4 minutes.
  9. Bread Upma is done.
  10. Serve hot hot and enjoy the makeover.
